My name is Joshua Marq. I’m a 32-year-old actor originally from Bartow, Florida— (Fun fact, also the film location of My Girl) I grew up with the discipline of military structure, attending a military high school with plans to join the armed forces after graduating. But life had other plans. Due to health issues and weight concerns, I was denied entry to serve my country. That rejection became a turning point.
Instead of letting it define me, I used it as fuel. I transformed both my physical and mental health, eventually earning a degree in Sports Medicine and building a career in fitness. But even with success in that field, I knew I was meant for more.
I've always been driven by a need to explore, create, and push myself to doing challenging things. Whether it was training for marathons, selling Real estate, playing drums in a local band, selling high-end classic cars, or uprooting my life to start a business across the country—I’ve never been afraid to bet on myself. I live by one core belief: If you’re not growing, you’re dying.
Acting for me, isn’t just a profession. It’s a culmination of every story, every heartbreak, every risk, and every reinvention I’ve lived through. My life has been a series of deep human experiences—and now I bring all of that to the screen. I don’t know how to do anything halfway. I'm all in, always.
What fascinates me about acting is the paradox of it all. Yes, the scenes are fictional—but the emotions are real. There’s nothing fake about truthfully portraying the human condition, even in a "made-up" world. I act because I have something to say—something to give. I want people to feel seen, heard, and understood through the characters I bring to life.
